Further Details:
BETLEY
& DISTRICT VILLAGE HALL was built in 1964 on land given by the late Charles
Fletcher-Twemlow of Doddlespool Hall with a grant from the Department of
Education & Science and money from many local fund-raising events, including
the first BETLEY BONFIRE.
The
Management Committee of the hall is comprised of representatives of
organisations in the village regularly using the hall and members elected at the
Annual General Meeting in May.
The
hall is a registered charity (No.510948). The committee members are managing
trustees, and as such, are responsible for the day-to-day management of the
Village Hall, in accordance with the trust deed. The majority of England's 8500
village halls are managed in this way.
